SEE OUR IMPACT

MPSF helps educators turn innovative ideas into meaningful learning experiences, supporting every school through Teacher Grants and other Foundation investments in areas such as STEM, literacy, the arts, student wellness, and career readiness.

Strong public schools benefit our entire community. Explore how MPSF support creates opportunities for Minnetonka students to learn and grow.

A Different Kind of Support. Unlike PTOs, PTAs, and booster organizations that typically focus on individual schools or activities, MPSF invests in curricular programs and learning experiences across the district.

Student Learning and Topical Areas

  • General Fund: Fuel the Foundation to create impact where it is most needed.

  • Arts & Music: Support innovative programs that enrich visual arts, music, theater, and creative learning experiences that help students discover their unique talents.

  • Entrepreneurship & Career Connected Learning (Momentum & VANTAGE): Prepare tomorrow's innovators and leaders through immersive learning experiences that connect the classroom to the workplace.

  • Language Immersion: Expand horizons through language and culture.

  • Literacy: Build confident readers, writers, and lifelong learners.

Grade and Learning Stage Impact Areas

  • PreK Learning: Build strong foundations from the very beginning.

  • Elementary School Learning (K–5): Nurture curiosity during the years that matter most.

  • Middle School Learning (6–8): Empower students to explore, discover, and grow during these transformative years.

  • High School Learning (9–12): Prepare students for career readiness and the skills students need to thrive beyond graduation.

Where Impact Happens

Foundation support reaches across all Minnetonka Public Schools. Teacher Grants and other Foundation investments have funded ideas that have helped students explore passions, discover talents, and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom in these areas and more:

The Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation funded a grant submitted by Dustin Michel for updated 3D printers in his classroom. 3D printing has become an essential tool for modeling and prototypes in STEM. This STEM class will now print ten times faster with current tools in updated software. It's a class where students can turn their ideas into reality.

MPSF Impact Across the Minnetonka Public Schools District

Foundation grants are not limited to one school, subject, or grade level. They support district professionals whose work directly impacts student learning, including teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, librarians, counselors, and other staff members. That means Foundation support can look different from one classroom to the next because the needs and ideas of students and educators are different, too.

  • “This grant gave my students the opportunity to learn in a way that felt exciting, hands-on, and meaningful. Seeing their curiosity grow was incredibly rewarding.”

  • “The best part was watching students who don’t always see themselves as ‘learners’ become completely absorbed in the experience. This grant opened a door for them.”

  • “Having access to these materials completely changed the way my students approached STEM learning. They were asking more questions, working together, and finding creative solutions to problems.”

  • “The grant helped us bring books and literacy experiences into the classroom in a way that made students excited to read. They were eager to share their thinking, make connections, and recommend books to one another.”

  • “The most meaningful part was seeing students who were hesitant to read become excited about books. The grant gave us new opportunities to make reading feel personal, engaging, and fun.”

  • “The Foundation’s support gave my students the opportunity to learn by doing. They weren’t just learning STEM concepts—they were experimenting, collaborating, solving problems, and discovering what they were capable of.”

As Minnetonka students, educators, and schools continue to evolve, the Foundation will continue connecting community support with innovative opportunities that enrich the student experience.
