  • Planned Giving

    Planned gifts are added to the Foundation’s Endowment Fund, creating a lasting legacy that supports students and classrooms for years to come. Including the Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation in your will or estate plans is a meaningful way to support Minnetonka students for generations to come. You can leave a specific amount or a percentage of your estate, and you can change your plans at any time.

  • Volunteer

    There are many ways to share your time, talents, and expertise with the Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation. From helping bring Dream Makers and other Foundation events to life to serving on committees, your involvement helps create meaningful opportunities for Minnetonka students. Those interested may also explore opportunities to serve on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Whether you can contribute a few hours or take on an ongoing leadership role, we’d love to find a way for you to get involved.

  • Corporate Matching

    Check whether your contribution qualifies for a corporate matching gift through your employer to make an even greater impact. Many companies match charitable donations, and some also offer programs that recognize volunteer hours with additional contributions. You can also use our Double the Donation Portal within our donation page to search for your employer.

  • Qualified Charitable Distribution from an IRA 

    Distributions must be made from an IRA or inactive SEP or SIMPLE IRA and must be sent directly from your IRA custodian to the Foundation. You must be 70 ½ years of age when the distribution is made.  You can donate up to $100,000 per year without including the distribution in your gross income.  The distribution counts toward your annual required minimum distribution (RMD) when applicable 

  • Donor Advised Funds (DAF)

    Donor-advised fund (DAF) distributions should be sent directly from your DAF provider to the Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation. Please include the Foundation’s Tax ID (EIN): 41-1569085.

    DAF distributions must be used for charitable purposes and cannot be used to pay for goods, services, or physical items, including event tickets, sponsorship benefits, or purchases. If you have questions about whether a particular gift or designation is eligible for DAF funding, please contact the Foundation.

  • Gifts of Stock

    There are many benefits to supporting the Foundation with a gift of securities, such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds. The total value of the stock on the date of transfer is tax-deductible, and you are not obligated to pay any capital gains taxes on the appreciation.  Please notify the Foundation of your donation by emailing FoundationED@minnetonkaschools.org so a tax receipt can be generated.
